Taprajo Devi, wife of Shaheed Kaushall Kishore (leader of Dwaba revolution in 1942), died after a prolonged illness. She was of about 100 years. Her cremation was done at Bahuara Ghat and her grandchild Anil Singh performed the last rites.
Earlier many stalwart leaders of Ballia paid their homage to her.
Indian Air Force has lodged a case in a Delhi court to recover its dues of Rs 5 crores 91 lakhs on ex-Prime Minister ChandraShekhar from his descendants and/or his party. This dues relate to use of airforce planes for non governmental purposes.
Previous case by AirForce was rejected due to death of ChandraShekhar but now the law department of Govt. of India has suggested that the dues should be recovered from his heirs and or his party.
Bhojpuri Entertainment Channel Mahuaa TV has organised an audition for selecting contestants for its forthcoming serial Sur-Sangram 2. Earlier Sur-Sangram had proved to be a path breaking reality show on Mahuaa TV.
Audition at Ballia will be held on 25th June at St.Xaviers School, Dharahara, Hanumanganj. Those willing to participate to join this audition have to register themselve at the site alongwith a photograph, proof of age, and proof of residence. They should be within 18 to 28 years of age.

In the just published intermediate exam results of UP Board Ballia has been placed at the bottom of the list of districts as per pass percentage. Last year Ballia was at 36th position.
This fall in position was due to administrative tightening and the examinees could not use unfair means. Thanks to the administration. Hope this will force the students to study.

अधिकारियों का कहना है कि आग कर्मचारियों की लापरवाही से लगी.
Famous Samajvadi leader of Ballia and ex-minister Shardanand Anchal died a sudden death yesterday. He was being taken to Mau after he complained of chest pain but he breathed his last in the way.
Later his body was brought to his village Pashuhari where large numbers of grieving people are thronging to have a last darshan of him. His cremation will be held today at the banks of Saryu.
Two hardened criminals of Ballia carrying a reward on their heads were shot down by the UP Special Task Force at NOIDA yesterday. They were identified as Ajay Singh of Maniar and Ashutosh Rai of Narahi.
STF was trailing them for a long time and when the got the confirmed news that they are going for a deal with armsellers they chased them in NOIDA. The criminals started firing on the STF and were killed by when the STF returned fire.
Ashutosh Rai was the son of a retired CMO while Ajay Singh belonged to a poloticians family. Both families have no criminal background and are easy going law abiding families.
Famous physician and cardiologist Dr.S.N.Pandey expired today at midnoon. He was suffering from lung cancer and was on bed for a long period.
The medical community as well as general public are grieving his departure to heavenly abode. May his soul last in peace!
